“Loving Mother”

WATERTOWN – Nancy L. Murphy, age 66 of Watertown passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Nancy was born November 27, 1951 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Elmer (Junnie) and Glady’s (Honey) Hubbard. She retired after 38 years of service with Waterbury Hospital. Nancy enjoyed bowling and spending time at the casino. She was always happiest while spending time with her family. Nancy was a dedicated and loving mother, wife, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.

Among her survivors are her sons: Jared Murphy (Melissa) of Fredericksburg VA and Dean Murphy (Erika) of Wolcott CT. She is also survived by her uncle Eugene Hubbard (Lonnie), her cousins James E. Brooks Sr, Bernice (Cookie) Pelletier, Ed Brooks and Sharon Dubail. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and several godchildren. Besides her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her husband Kevin C. Murphy and her brother Edward J. Hubbard.

A Memorial service for Mrs. Murphy will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 4:00pm until 6:00 p.m. at O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital located of 501 St Jude Pl Memphis TN 38105-9959 and/ or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) located at 20 Batterson Park Rd # 302, Farmington, CT 06032.
