Obituary for Robert H. Grant
THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF ROBERT H. GRANT.
WATERTOWN – Robert H. Grant, age 66, of Watertown passed at Waterbury Hospital on Thursday November 2, 2017 after an extended illness he was the widower of Diane M. (Sharkis) Grant.
Robert was born December 6, 1950 in Hartford, CT the son of the late Rev. Howard L. and Helen Louise (Young) Grant. He was a graduate of Upsala College in N.J. where he received his master’s degree in Counseling. Mr. Grant spent his entire career working as a Senior Clinical Therapist and Clinical Group Supervisor at Waterbury Hospital in addition to a small private practice.
Rob was devoted to his wife Diane who passed earlier this year. He loved photography, spending time at the beach in Florida and caring for their beloved pets. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and warm smile. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and all who were blessed to know and love him.
Among his survivors are his brothers Steven P. Grant and his wife, Patricia of Dobbs Ferry, NY; Thomas E. Grant and his wife, Susan of Burlington, CT; In addition he also leaves his nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as other extended family members and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Grant will be held Friday November 10, 2017 at 10:00 am at The O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville followed by committal services in the Historic Green Cemetery in Glastonbury, CT. Relatives and friends may visit with Rob’s family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00am until 11:00am.
